Next
The next round was a little wonky, due to the long picots. This is an old pattern and some doilies were a little wonky....not my cup of tea, though.
Dutch
The Dutch pattern is from St. Rosa
Monastery in Amsterdam. Round 2 wasn't too bad. My picot gauge was in inches, so I had to make up some in metric.
Interrupt
We interrupt this blog for a little test tatting. Jane had asked for a few test tatters. I was needing a break from the hummingbird drawing (I needed to get the courage to start the hummingbird), so I decided to do a little test tatting. Here is round 1. I love the "cork-screw" spirals. I had to dig out my picot gauge for this one.
Etching
I found a glass, coffee mug, years ago. I thought it would be nice to etch on.
Hummer
Starting to get the courage to start the hummer. I'm using oil-based, polychromos, colored pencils. These are a harder pencil and good for fur and feathers.
Feeder
Finished the feeder and ready for the hummer.
Pretty
Here are a few pretty spiders.
