     Another cross from Tatted Bookmarks, called "Christina".   This one was done in spice cake, size 40.

Green/Red Cross

     This pattern is called "Monica", from Tatted Bookmarks, by Lene Bjorn.  The cross was done in Lizbeth, size 40, spice cake and jungle green.

Directional

     This cross is a great learning pattern for directional tatting.  All of Lene patterns are diagrams, so no words like reverse or shoe-lace-trick.  This one is called "Monica", done in size 80 thread.  I love the color of this cross.
 

 

Purple Cross

     This cross is called "Christina".  Lene, named them after the girls who received them.  This was done in size 80 thread.
 

 

Noel

     There were a lot of Christmas, craft kits in that estate sale box.  This Fad-of-the-month was an interesting technique.  The fake-wood was styrofoam.  A knife, heated over a candle, was applied to the brown styrofoam  to give the effect of wood burning on wood.  I would advise you to do this out side!!  The fumes are toxic!!  
 

Confirmands

     We have 4 children getting confirmed.  I tatted them each a cross.  The crosses are from one of my favorite books by Lene Bjorn: "Tatted Bookmarks".  This was the first tatting book I bought.  The first two years of tatting, I used size 80 tatting thread.  This cross is called "Maria", done in size 80 thread.

Opal Pendent

     A friend wanted tatting around this Idaho Spencer opal.  This pendent was given to her by a family member.  It was tatted with Lizbeth, size 20, gold.

     This was a broken pin, a friend wanted some tatting around.  The tatting was done in Lizbeth, size 20, blue river glades.

     A lady from our Church, loves to thrift store shop.  She came across these little goodies and gave them to me on Easter.

     Another, "Fad of the Month" craft project.  This one is one of my favorites!!  Pin cushion on top, two hooks on the side for scissors and pins, and pegs for spools of thread.

     This egg was done in Lizbeth, size 20, falling leaves.

     This is another Fad-of-the-Month craft, called "Tree Treasures".  This reminds me of Grandma's house.  She had the most, fabulous Christmas decorations up.  Every thing was decorated, including the toilet lid.  This beautiful capsule holds a cardinal on a holly branch.

Happy May Day

    Does anyone celebrate May Day anymore?  Last Sunday, at Church, one of the little boys was looking at his song bird and thought it was a butterfly.  Explaining butterflies has four wings, not two.  So, I asked him if he wanted a butterfly on a paperclip.  This was simple to design, using size 20 thread.
