Framed
I finished the etching art pictures, earlier this month. I finally had gotten around to framing them. These were very difficult to etch. I had to put on my higher powered readers and etch this in the window.
Silversmithed: jewelry and tatting shuttles............ Glass blowing: crochet hooks, dinosaurs, ice sickles, pens, earrings, and spoons.......... Tatting: jewelry, motifs, doilies, hankies, books, crosses, and much more.

Motifs
I am not a fan of tatting motifs in a doily, especially a large doily. This one has a lot of little sections. I'll make is easier by hiding the ends as I go along. I won't cut my ends, completely, until I am all done. I don't want any ends working their way loose as I tat.
Five
I started tatting a doily from one of my favorite books: "Tatting Theory and Patters," by Jan Stawasz. I picked out Doily V.
Supplies
I gathering supplies to start another doily. Picked out my thread, now to gather the shuttles.
Grizz
Be very bear aware. The re are signs, all over the forest, with this saying. This is grizzly country. I tried another Etching Art of the bears, fishing. These are very difficult to see. I had to etch them in the windowsill on a sunny day.
Dinner
We had gone to Jan's house for Christmas dinner. Pterry, wouldn't let go of my arm, as I was leaving the house, so he came to dinner with me. Jan had a baby triceratops come live with her. (She has a small dinosaur orphanage.) We were teaching them to play Spades.
Gold
A new breed of tyrannosaurs showed up. My mom had found him wondering around town in Iowa. She had sent him to our little orphanage. He even had his I.D. card, stating he is a new breed: aurumtyrannosaur (Greek for gold).
Opening Presents
Here are some of the kids, opening presents. Rexy, never gave me my ornament back.
Window
I was in the other room and heard something, like a bird hitting the window. Ever-so-often, a bird will fly into a window and knock itself out. I went out back to see if the bird was ok. When I opened the door, I found, a very dazed, pterodactyl. A tree had fallen down, from too much snow on the tree. In the tree was a nest of baby pterodactyls. This poor, pterosaur was the only survivor from the nest. When he had gotten near our house, a big gust of wind blew him into our window. I picked him up and made sure he didn't have any broken bones. We named him Pterry.
Magazine
My cat pictures had been published in the, "Colored Pencil Magazine." They asked for a drawing done when you first started and a current drawing of the same subject. I just started using colored pencils, last January.
Knocking
I heard a knocking at the front door. When I opened the door, no one was there. I heard a little noise at my feet and discovered a baby brontosaur, shivering. He heard I had a dinosaur orphanage and he came to live with us. I warmed him up in a blanket and gave him some warm milk. Once he was settled in, he gave me a star for the top of the Christmas tree. He made this, as he was traveling to our house. I lifted him up so he could put the start on the tree. His name is Bjorn.
Crashing
I heard some ornaments, crashing to the floor. Rexy was pulling off some of his favorites.
Back to Normal
The Christmas tree has been taken down and all the decorations were put away for next year. Time to get the house back to normal. I just downloaded the pictures from my camera and caught, Rexy in action. I found him, playing under the Christmas tree. I think, his ball rolled under there and he ran to retrieve it.
Pattern Section
See the upper, right side of this blog to, easily, find my patterns. Here are a few of them.
Snowflake
I'm still tatting in the evening and when we travel. During our travels, I finished a couple of snowflakes.
Jon's Ferris Wheel Ornament. I didn't have a bead to tat around so I used a 1" cabone ring. I had to increase the sections by one and between each spoke I added five CWJ's.
Mouse
My niece had given me a little cross-stitch kit for Christmas. The last time I had cross-stitched was 16 years ago. My sister and I made six panels each for a quilt. My mom did the quilting part. We gave the quilt to our new little niece for her baptism.
Hummers
I love hummingbirds. My mom had given me an Engraving Art kit for Christmas. This was fun, but very time consuming. Good thing I'm on vacation, for the month of January. After that, time to get ready for Farmers Market.
