Pink
Looks like I had a lot of pink ducks left over to make another fob for the market.
Silversmithed: jewelry and tatting shuttles............ Glass blowing: crochet hooks, dinosaurs, ice sickles, pens, earrings, and spoons.......... Tatting: jewelry, motifs, doilies, hankies, books, crosses, and much more.
Mood
I'm finally in the mood to tat. I haven't had a desire to tat since October (long vacation). Farmers market is getting close and I decided to tat a few cruising ducks.
Me
I was looking through my duck stash and realized I didn't have one for myself. I must have sold it or gave it away for Christmas. This is from my "The Cruising Duck" pattern.
Beach
This is a long, dreary winter. Most of the days have an inversion. Would like to be sitting on the beach with Jan and sipping margarita. This picture reminded me of us. Jan is on the left and I'm on the right. We are on a Princess cruise, because the towels we are sitting on are blue and white striped, Princess towels. Looks like we got a boob job and some how are arms have gotten younger. Ha Ha.
La Paz
Love it here in La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico. The people are very friendly and the food is fabulous. I seen this beautiful, yellow hibiscus, and need to paint it. I used Lightwish's travel set, Winsor and Newton watercolor paints, along with Grumbacher watercolor paints.
Workshop (Day 2)
The 2026 Spokane Shuttlebird work shop is now open for registration. These are the classes that I'm teaching on the Saturday:

Sailboat
We came to Loreto to fish. On our way to the boat, I quickly snapped a picture of a sailboat and it's tender, in distance. When I get back from fishing, I'll paint this. I needed a pot of tea to warm me up, while painting. The day was overcast and cold.
Travel
I think I found the perfect travel watercolor set. Something that is small and everything contained into one thing. Yet, big enough for this old lady to see what she is painting. I saw this on Instagram from Lightwish and had to check it out. I was able to purchase it through their Amazon store.
I love the little pallet with the forest of pine trees on the front. The pallet has 18 wells to put my own paints. The pallet also has a ceramic mixing dish to prevent staining and to produce a true mixed color. There are 20 sheets of hot pressed watercolor paint and a brush.
Hawaii
Another watercolor pencil painting of one of the hibiscus we seen at the Dole farm in Hawaii. This painting looks better in person.
Pencils
While going through my art supplies, I came across a set of my dad's watercolor pencils. Time to try them out.
Warm
Thinking of some where warm. Like the Oregon coast. Brookings has a "Banana belt-like" temperatures.
Ball
This is one of my favorite Christmas balls to paint. I added a little shimmer to this one. I'll use this for a Christmas tag to put on a present next Christmas.
