      This Tatsmithed pendent made from a focal bead and two strands of metallic sewing thread.  The pendent is 1.5" across and 3" tall.  The bead is locked in, from both sides...not glued.

      I had to buy this book because of the mouse on front.  It's "Tatting Treats" by Pam Palmer.   Here is a revised version of "The Tatter of Glouchester".  I wanted a full version of the mouse.  The mousey was tatted with size 30 thread.

      I bought a set of clear stamps off of E-Bay.  They consisted of crochet, bobbin lace and tatting.  The corner pieces are tatting and the middle one looks like crochet.  I used embossing crystals and a lighter to melt them.  You can see on the left side I got a little too close with the flame and singed the side.  Just adds to the uniqueness of the card.  The card was a birthday card to one of my tatting students.

    I don't remember where the pattern is from.  This little motif was made with size 20 crochet thread.

    Just finished a small batch of fish tatting shuttles.  Currently working on 74 shuttles, but just finished the fish.  The shuttles are 3" long, 1" wide and 1/4" thick (the bottom fish is 3/8" thick).  They are made of Popular, Red Oak and Maple.

    Using up, left-over, Lizbeth twisted thread on a shuttle.  I ran out of thread, so the motif wasn't completely finished.  Looks good anyway.  The pattern is from "Tatting with Visual Patterns", by Mary Konior...called Masquerade.

 

50th

50th Anniversary

    This is a card I made for my aunt and uncle, celebrating their 50th.  Whew...time sure does fly!! 

     The cross was done in size 40 thread, jungle green.  It's called "Camilla", Tatted Bookmarks.    The angel is by Rita called, "Rita's Angel".  She was made with  Lizbeth, size 20, grape dk, white, and gold.

    I bough a few summer shirts that were on clearance, last fall.  I fused the two motifs on the shirt with Steam-A-Seam and added a little gold fabric paint.

    A new book I had gotten from handy hands, plus two new moonlite shuttles, and size 20 mermaid lagoon twist.  The little purse I had gotten about 6 years ago at the local chocolate store.  They sold it with three of their wonderful mint melt-a-ways.  Mmmmmm, they are sooooo good!!  Oh, yeah, the motif is called "Floramente" from the Occhi book.  Well, of to the chocolate store!

     These were made with focal beads, from Fire Mountain Gems.  They were tatted with two strands of metallic sewing thread, using the Tatsmithing method of locking the bead in place with tatting in the front and back.  The pendents are 2" by 3".

     This pattern is from an old Workbasket (March 1964).  I love those old magazines.  Some of the adds just crack me up.  My favorite is the one on buying a baby alligator...no returns on it!  They usually have at least one tatting pattern and loads of other neat things.  This doily was done in pearl cotton #12 and measures 9".  For some of the rows, I had to stack two shuttles to get three colors in the round.

     This pattern was by Irene Woo.  The bookmark was done in Lizbeth, size 20, cranberry bush.

     This pattern is from Mark, called "Hilda's 3-D Angel."  The pattern said size 40 thread, but I used size 20 crochet thread.  The angel is about 3" tall and is going on the top of my little Christmas tree.
