8
I found a size 8 crochet hook that needed a little make-over. This one will be used for size 3 thread.
Celtic
As soon as I seen Jane's gorgeous "Celtic In Out Bookmark," I thought it would make a beautiful bracelet. This is what I came up with...
Starting
I remember, trying to tat this, when I first learned to tat. For some reason this kicked my butt, back then. No problem, now. The pattern was by Roger Freedman.
Butterfly
I had the honor of meeting "The Knotted Vine," at the Shuttlebird workshop. She brought, handmade shuttles for everyone. I had gotten one of her butterfly shuttles for my birthday. The butterfly is in teal.
I was working with epoxy and had a little left. I quickly ran to the studio to grab a few hair clips.
Case
I had gotten a sling-style case for my new kalimba. It had a kalimba brand name on it. I used my thread ripper to tear out the name and added a little tatting to it. The pattern was by Norma Benporath, "Edging for Embroideries."
Black
When I bought a kalimba, it came with an extra set of keys. I had just enough black walnut wood to make one. The wood came off of my grandfather's farm. My "Church Mom," gave me the opals from the Spencer Idaho mine. She had mined them and cabbed them, when she was a little girl. The kalimba sound wonderful.
Finished the little imposter's carrot purse. She just makes me giggle. A little penguin bunny (bunquin).
