I normally make them us as I go. I'll tat the foundation row, counting as I go along. Then, I'll insert a needle between two ds and pull up on the back thread, slightly. This creates a small, joining picot. From there, I start the next row. Here is the link to my page on how I go about designing these things:
I really like your book markers. I was also wondering is there any patterns to these?? or do you just sorta make them up as you go??
