New Shuttles

New Shuttles

First off...it snowed on the top of the mountain, across the street.  This picture reminds me of a painting.

Made a new batch of Character  shuttles.  These are for sale and can be found on West Pine Creations.  (Front and Back sides, 2.75" X 7/8" )

While exploring, a little further up north, we spotted the Aurora Dragon.  She was quick, but not quick enough to get a picture of her.

Midnight

Midnight

This dragon can be seen around midnight.  She is migrating towards Canada...almost there.

I traded this one for a ball of thread.  The dragon was tatted with the pearl cotton #12.

Autumn

Autumn

Fall is here and the trees are changing.

.....WHAT!!!  Did you SEE THAT!.....  There!  in the yellow leaves!!  IT'S A.....

It's an autumn  dragon!!  These are easier to see at night, because there green eyes glow.  Living so far up north, I'll be able to see a greater, verity of dragons.  It's that time of year for the great migration.  This will be migrating to a warmer climate.

The pattern is one of Anne B's dragons.

Mine

I know, can't keep them all.  But I love turquoise, especially the greener ones.  This is another pin.  Kinda looks like a shuttle.

Picture

Picture

This one sold, a piece of Owyhee picture jasper, made into a pin.

That line through the stone, was an actual crack during it's development and resealed itself during it's cooling.  Pretty cool, huh.

ICE

ICE

.....come on ICE!  As you know by now, we are big ice fishermen...fisherwoman!  It's something about walking on water, especially clear ice, and catching a fish through a little 6" hole, while the ice is "singing."  That's just the Cat's Meow!
I've been wanting a pair of ice skates for quite awhile.  We grew up skating, in the Midwest.  It was part of the curriculum, since kindergarten.  While out shopping for wool socks, we moseyed on over to the clearance section....   Oh dear!!!  Ice SKATES..on clearance.  They are a lot nicer and cushier than the ones growing up on.   They were a little more than I would spend, but my wonderful husband seen my face when I saw them.  Well now I have a beautiful pair of skates, to skate to my next ice fishing hole.  And...the sporting goods store said they flood the fair grounds, in the winter, so I can skate there!

Heart Chain

Heart Chain

A chain from the "Garden Collection."  The middle forms a heart.  I'm designing something to hang down from the heart so stay tuned.

The heart shows up better, when there is a little weight on it.

Bucket

Bucket

I finally can cross one of the big items off of my bucket list....catch a pike!!  I would REALLY like to catch one through the ICE!!!   A REALLY BIG ONE!!  Like a 40"er!!  I think that is #1 on my bucket list.  The one I caught, the other day, was 23".  A little small but my first...and the only fish caught that day.  My husband still needs to catch his first one.

Done Tweaking

Done Tweaking

A pendant, from the Garden Collection, wasn't quite right.  I needed to adjust the stitch count on the outer row.  Now it's a lot stronger/ridgid for a pendant.  My mom took this one.

Hummer Purse

Hummer Purse

The main reason I got the fabric, was to make a small purse to hold my billfold and a large tatting case.  The tatting cases and shuttles had to match the purse.

Quilt Show

My neighbor took me to a wonderful quilt show, today.  Very beautiful but too tedious for me.  While looking in the vendor room, I came across some pearl cotton no. 12.  When I went to pay, the vendor noticed my tatted jewelry.   I showed her how easy it was to shuttle tat, ha ha.  And we ended up trading tatting for thread.  I have to make one thing for her, the rest is in inventory.   Here are some of the beautiful quilts.
