Local Jasper

Local Jasper

This piece of Jasper comes from the Owyhee's mountain range, not far from here.  These were Tatsmithed with one strand of Sulk, metallic gold thread and one strand of Gutermann, metallic copper thread.  This gives the tatting a "rose gold" look.

Goodies from India

Goodies from India

These goodies are from Manisha (laimire), an exchange done in In Tatters.  She sent me two beautifully crochet doilies for my tea pot, along with some tea and tea pots painted on an envelope. There is a little purse, her first time at sewing, for my tatting and a little pouch with some gorgeous pearls. The pearls are from the pearl capital of India....very special! There was also, two pairs of beautifully tatted earrings and one crocheted using my favorite pineapple pattern. Thanks, Manisha, for the wonderful goodies!!

Pepper

Pepper

This card was done for my sisters cat, Pepper, a Maine Coon.  She was a rescue animal, that filled our lives.  She had a rare, non-aggressive form of cancer.  Unfortunately, this was extremely aggressive in her.  We will all miss her and cherish the memories.

This is her, after her front arm was amputated.

The pattern was "Nancy's Christmas Cat", by Tat's All.  The thread was Lizbeth, size 20, mocha brown med and fudge dark.

Test Tatting

Test Tatting

I have had the privilege to test tat, using Two Shuttles, latest design.  This darling shuttle is 1.5" long and fits wonderfully in my small hands.  Hopefully they will go into production soon.

This little motif was tatted with this little shuttle using size 80 thread.  The pattern was from "The Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito", motif #28.

Celtic Motif

This is the Shuttlebirds 4th, weekly challenge.  This is the "5 Point Cetic Motif", designed by Sue Hanson.  This is an easy pattern and is great for a beginner tatter.  I had my two student try this one, on their own and they came out great.  This motif was done in Lizbeth, size 20; leaf green lt, azalea, and springtime.
