Cats

Cats

It had just snowed, over night, and decided to go for a little walk.  While walking around, we discovered bobcat tracks.  He was tracking one of our snowshoe hares.  I didn't see any blood, so he didn't get my bunny.

Tatting Corner's Contest Results

Tatting Corner's Contest Results

Thank you, Tatting Corner, for putting on this contest.  There was a lot of tough competition!!  My snowflake came in first, in the Decoration category and the other snowflake came in second.  Here are the results:  Tatting Contest Winners

Poles

Poles

No, this pair of twins are not late for the migration.  They are a type of Poles Dragons, they migrate from the south to north pole.  This type of dragon can be recognized by their blue eyes.  The blue eyes are said to see better at night because they have more rods and cones.  Rods can see black and white, while the cones can see color.
These are called Tree Moss Dragons, due to their greenish color.

The dragons were tatted with 2 strands of rayon sewing thread.
This pattern can be found on Craftree, by Michelle Bottosff.

Lapis

Lapis

A regular customer asked for a pair of lapis earrings.  I was going to see her the next day, so it was a kinda a rush order.  I thought I had a pair made up but realized I sold them last year.  I just happened to have 9 lapis beads in my stash.  Here is what I came up, quickly.  The tatting was done with 2 strands of silver, sewing thread.  Unfortunately, she love them...I liked them so much, I thought about keeping them.

My New Dress

My New Dress

One of the vendors, at a local craft show, makes crochet, baby dresses.  The print is an old pineapple print...my favorite.  I have a rattie doll that has a red dress and pink shoes.  The shoes don't match the dress, so she needed a new dress.  (The rattie doll was a present from my niece and sister.  My niece thought the rattie needed shoes for her dress.)  The dress was a 0 to 6 months and it looks great on the rattie.

Look at that smile on her face.  She was so excited to get her new dress.

She is sitting in the upstairs, guest bedroom of our new house.

Silvery Flakes

Silvery Flakes

TataniaRosa was celebrating her 6th year anniversary on Etsy.  To celebrate she was giving away three beautiful, silver snowflakes...well they arrived.  The picture doesn't do them justice.  Now I have an excuse why I need a bigger Christmas tree, taller than 18".   Thanks, Heather, I love them.

Pink and Gold

Pink and Gold

This old key was all rusty.  I cleaned off the rust and polished it up.   It didn't look the greatest so I used the old jewelers trick of adding fingernail polish to spruce it up.

The Cat's Meow

The Cat's Meow

What's better than ice fishing?...ice fishing while ice skating!!  One of the local lakes froze enough to get on (2.5" of ice).  We caught our limit of trout, 6 each, and did a little extra ice skating.  In Idaho, we are allowed 5 poles each on the ice.  Good thing I had my skates on, it was a busy morning.

New

New

Starting a new collection...."The Keys to My Heart."  The tatting is around old skeleton keys.   The middle heart came from an old, single earring.
