:(

:(

I was tatting another butterfly and noticed, once I was done with one side, the thread looked dingy.  I use hand sanitizer before I tat, to make sure my hands are clean of dirt and oil, then I  rub my hands on my sleeves.  I also noticed my blue beads looked paler than when they came out of the package and my fingers looked a little blue :(  :(  The beads I had gotten from Jo Ann Fabric store had lost their color and came off on to my tatting!!

I threw out the beads and started over, using the pale peach to make a coral reef butterfly.  This one I'm keeping :)

This was a good cross for directional tatting.  My mom gave me this darling bunny for Easter.  The pot holder I found at a yard sale...only fifty cents!!

Purse

Purse

When we moved, we didn't have room to pack everything in the  truck.  Unfortunately, a lot was left behind.  One of my tubs were full of my totebags and purses.  I rescued a pair of my husbands jeans, from the trash and made a jean purse for fishing.  The flower and butterfly, paint glows in the dark.

Doo Dad

 Doo Dad

I had gotten this little doo dad, from Maria, in a tatting exchange.  It was so adorable, I had to keep the tatted piece...now what to do with it??  I left the ends, so I could decide to leave it as a pendant, add something on the ends??  soooo many possibilities.

Anchors

Anchors

I wanted to try a Morfo Butterfly in Anchors, pearl cotton #12.  I'm not please with this thread for Ankars tatting.  It's too flimsy, I'll go back to my sturdy, 3 strands of sewing thread, next time.

Mice

Mice

I needed another trash can for myself.  Of course it had to have mice on it to match one of my totes.  This fabric is from House Mouse.  Mmmm, I think I need a big cup of tea, before I start tatting.

Trash Can

Trash Can

Diane, Lace-Lovin' Librarian, made these cute thread trash cans for her thread.  I needed a matching one to go with my origami tote.  I didn't sew the corners down, the buttons hold it in place.
