Star Doily
This pattern is from an old Workbasket (March 1964). I love those old magazines. Some of the adds just crack me up. My favorite is the one on buying a baby alligator...no returns on it! They usually have at least one tatting pattern and loads of other neat things. This doily was done in pearl cotton #12 and measures 9". For some of the rows, I had to stack two shuttles to get three colors in the round.
Challenge 4 of 25.
Love those colors, and I bought a few pages from that magazine they are funny!
ReplyDeleteSplendid doily!
ReplyDeleteGreat doily. I recently acquired several Workbaskets. Thought I'd go through them & do the tatting projects but have yet to start. Karen in OR
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI love those littles hearts! I wish I had that pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I'm with Tally--love the little hearts!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the colors - so soothing. I like tatting with pearl cotton, it seems like there are some very soft colors in what I've inherited.
ReplyDeleteI have a few Workbaskets, but none of mine have that pretty doily. Very pretty color combo!
ReplyDeleteLovely colour combo, beautiful pattern well done
