Something I've wanted to make was a gingerbread house. So happens, one of my neighbors gave me a gingerbread kit for Christmas. She had no idea, I wanted to make one. Now, not to eat it for awhile.
It's adorable. When I was young I made at least one gingerbread house every year - baked tons of gingerbread, cut out the 'parts' from paper patterns, made gingerbread boys and girls to put outside in the 'yard' playing in the 'snow' ....it was great fun. It's always hard to balance our 'want to admire it for a while' with our 'want to take a bit out of it now.' I think that's why I always made so many gingerbread boys and girls - we could have our 'cake' and eat it, too. Yours is lovely! StephanieW
