I went to a yard sale and found a box, that needed a little cleaning up. I purchased the box for $1. I peeled off the price tag and discovered this person bought it for $21.50 and it was made in 1941. I tried to clean it up, but the stains wouldn't come off. I used white spray paint and placed a few, "House Mouse," stickers on it...now what to use it for....tatting...water color...hmmmmm....
I decided to use it as a nightstand caddy.
What a great find! I love the way you've cleaned it up. I'd never have thought of a nightstand caddy... great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou turned it in to an amazing little treasure box!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeauty (& usability) lies in the eyes of the beholder! Superb transformation
ReplyDeleteGreat find and turned into a beautiful box
ReplyDeleteCute! I’ve never seen a box like that, wonder what it was originally used for.
ReplyDeleteWell done saving the caddy. Such a useful one too. I see a tatting container as a great way to use it.
