    We had gotten a good deal on 2" thick, rough cut, cedar boards.  We were going to put in the garden next year, but couldn't pass up the lumber.  We made two, raised garden boxes (2 feet tall) and a fenced-in (deer proof) garden area.  My neighbor had too many veggies, so I planted them in my new garden.  Next year, we'll plant a cherry and apple tree in the the extra space....this was a two day project.

     Another class I was teaching was the Garden Bracelet.  This is one of my favorite patterns.

     I get an small break, then at the end of the day, I'll teach the "Garden Bracelet."  Hope to see you all at the workshop.  

     
     This elegant beaded bracelet is tatted using a single large shuttle only. The finished bracelet measures 7” but can easily be tatted longer for a larger wrist. This bracelet won 1st place at the county fair.

     I decided, not to put out hummingbird feeders, this year.  I'm tired of battling the ants and yellow jackets.  Besides, the neighborhood is filled with flowers.

     I went to my garden, to forage for lunch.  As I walked up to one of the boxes, I was greeted by a humming bird.  She was very friendly and came up to me.  She's, probably, wondering where her feeder is, this year.  Usually, they come up to me and squawk, that their feeder is almost empty or needs a little cleaning....soooo, demanding.  I planted marigolds around my lettuce to keep out garden pest.  This made a wonderful humming bird area.  They nest in the tree, next to the garden.

     It is starting to get warmer so I decided to get the garden ready and plant a few seeds (peas, carrots and radishes).

      After lunch I'll teach the "Changeable Earrings," class:

    This is part of the "Fairy Garden Collection" and the "Garden Collection." If you made the "Garden Bracelet" and the "Faylinn Necklace," then you need to make these earrings to finish your set. You will be making two pairs of earrings: "Fairy Wheel Earrings" and "Fairy Dress Earrings." These earrings will be, interchangeable and hung on a pair of handmade spiral earwires.

      I haven't tatted for 3 weeks.  This was done while we were looking for houses.

    I tat little motifs, during the farmer's market.  Once I finish, a little motif, I'll put it on a vendor's table.  One of the vendors put the motifs in a spoon and gave it too me.  Octopus's Garden & Goods, was the vendor.

     A pendant, from the Garden Collection, wasn't quite right.  I needed to adjust the stitch count on the outer row.  Now it's a lot stronger/ridgid for a pendant.  My mom took this one.

     I wear a lot of black clothes.  They are classy and makes you look thinner.  I was looking for a black pair of tatted earrings and didn't have any made....until now.  This pattern is from my Garden Collection.

Intermediate Class. The first class of the the workshop. Tatiana is a Slavic, fairy queen. This pendant is from the Fairy Garden Collection. This is an "Ankars"-style (stacked rings) pendant with glow-in-the-dark beads. This beautiful pendant could be made into a pair of earrings.
