Rachel's Bracelet

Rachel's Bracelet

Rachel is a very dear friend of mine.  I taught her to needle tat, over a year ago.  She loves the needle and has no desire to shuttle tat.  She is very tall and likes bold jewelry.  This pattern was designed for her.  The bracelet was tatted with Lizbeth, size 3, jungle greens.

90 of 100 motif challenge.

Rachel

Rachel

Rachel is a very dear friend.  She is very tall and likes big, bold jewelry.  I taught her to tat, six years ago and she is still tatting.  I had designed a bracelet, using size 3 thread and named it "Rachel's Bracelet."  I tatted this bracelet in size 20 thread.

Rachel is in the pink outfit.  The picture was taken on Easter morning, about five/six years ago.  Time goes so fast.

Leafy Pendent

Leafy Pendent

I bought this pendent, about a year ago, with the intentions of tatting around it.  Seeing Rachel's wonderful work, I thought I'd give it a try.

I like to incorporate the tatting to the colors and designs of the piece.  The thread is Lizbeth, size 20, seed beads and Swarovski crystals.

The challenge on this piece was the split-chain, in the second round.  For this, I like to go to Linda's site.  She has it in video and pictorial.  Linda designs the most beautiful doilies and 3-D flowers.

4 of 100 motif challenge.

Rachel

Rachel

Rachel is a very dear friend of mine.  I taught her to needle tat, 8 years ago.  She loves the needle and has no desire to shuttle tat.  She is very tall and likes bold jewelry.  This pattern was designed for her.

Last fall, I had submitted this pattern into Handy Hands.  Today, in the mail, I received the latest issue of Helping Hands.  On the front, cover, is "Rachel's Bracelet."   I don't have the picture of the one, I physically sent to Handy Hands, it was done with the colors on the cover (Coral Splash).
