Pattern

 Pattern

We went for a long drive.  Of, course, I grabbed my tatting kit and we drove off.  I needed to make a few more snowflakes and had some thread, beads and buttons in my case, but no instructions.  I came up with this simple design.  This design is so simple, I know there's a printed pattern out the somewhere.

Maybe, Diane has the same kind of design.  She had designed a lot of beautiful, button snowflakes last year.  Be sure to check out her site...here's the link to some of her, gorgeous snowflake patterns.

Gail

 Gail

Gail Baumgardner sent me this lovely gift.  All my favorite colors, the pin (I don't have this one yet), my favorite mints and a beautiful tatted snowflake.  Thanks Gail, I love it.

The Tatting Corner, hosted this annual event.  By-the-way, Gail said she did not tat the snowflake.  It's beautiful anyway.

Chromatic

 Chromatic

My wonderful husband gave me a Chromatic kalimba by "Seeds."  This kalimba has 34 keys and two rows of keys, instead of the single row of 17 keys.  The four, upper, middle keys have the four base notes, below the middle C.  The other upper keys contains the sharps and flats.  This flatboard kalimba sounds amazing!  A deep, rich sound.  This kalimba is not as loud and the hollow kalimbas.

Early

 Early

I had gotten a few early, Christmas presents.  This one is from a very dear friend.  We have been best friends since pre-school.  She is a music major and thought I needed something musical for Christmas.  She gave me a beautiful Unokki kalimba.  I love the sound of these instruments, they sound like a harp.
