Orange
I had to make an orange and pink, fairy garden bracelet to go with my earring/necklace set.
Silversmithed: jewelry and tatting shuttles............ Glass blowing: crochet hooks, dinosaurs, ice sickles, pens, earrings, and spoons.......... Tatting: jewelry, motifs, doilies, hankies, books, crosses, and much more.
Extra
A family member of a friend had gotten a 3-D printer. He had made a few shuttles. One of them was very large. My friend gave me the large one to try out on a large tatting project. The shuttle 1.75" tall, 4.5" long and 1.5" thick. It's a little wide for my little hands. My project, just, fits on the shuttle.
Orange
I made a matching pair of earrings to go with the orange and pink necklace. They will also go with the pink and orange necklace.
Mistake
I made a mistake when I loaded up the beads for a necklace to go with a dress. I wanted the larger beads to be orange, not pink.
Dress
I wanted a necklace to match my new dress. The pink top is not my dress. The necklace is part of the Fairy Garden Collection. This is the Faylinn necklace.
Students
Here is another project, the students want me to teach. This is the "Faylinn Necklace and Drop." Faylinn is Gaelic/Iris for fairy kingdom. This necklace is very versible. It can be a plain chain, something to hang a pendant from or a lanyard/chatelaine.
Finally
I am, finally, happy with the design. This is the "Iridessa Pendant V2.0." Iridessa is Latin for a fairy that resembles a rainbow.
Tatsmithing
Of coarse, I needed a Tatsmithing project for the workshop. This is a prototype. Need more work.
New
Being advid fisher people, we have to check out the latest fishing tackle. While strolling down the aisle, I came across, glow-in-the-dark beads. They would be perfect for my new tatting collection...The Fairy Garden collection. This collection, glows-in-the-dark.
This is another, technique class for the workshop. This pendant is called, "Tatianna Pendant," after the Slavic fairy queen.
Box
I love a good challenge. If, I was a student at the workshop, I would love to learn something new and challenging.
This technique class is the one. The students are given a box with three prepared embellishments. One in silver, one in gold, and one in bronze. We will go over how it was prepared for tatting and work through, how to design this. They are the designer.
I had done something similar to this last time, but gave them my design right after they designed theirs. They had the choice of tatting mine or tatting their own. I was so excited when a couple of ladies tatted their own design....Don't worry, I won't leave them hanging. At the end of class, I will give them my design.
Proposal
Working on my proposal for the spring, 2023, Shuttlebird workshop. I need 6 projects, two techniques and four projects. My students told me, what they wanted me to teach them.
This is one of the projects. Spirograph V4.0, the last in the Spirograph Series.
Jam
One day, Cheryl and I went out for sushi...I had sushi, she ate tempura. Later that night Jenniffer came over and we all had pizza, then finished up with a kalimba jam session. What fun to play kalimba with people.
