I went to a yard sale and found a box, that needed a little cleaning up.  I purchased the box for $1.  I peeled off the price tag and discovered this person bought it for $21.50 and it was made in 1941.  I tried to clean it up, but the stains wouldn't come off.  I used white spray paint and placed a few, "House Mouse," stickers on it...now what to use it for....tatting...water color...hmmmmm....

I decided to use it as a nightstand caddy.

  4. Cute! I’ve never seen a box like that, wonder what it was originally used for.

  5. Well done saving the caddy. Such a useful one too. I see a tatting container as a great way to use it.
