Turquoise Peal
I found a few spools of, that old, crochet thread on E-Bay. It had a Ben Franklin on the price sticker. Have to ask my parents to check it out, when they go up north. For those who are going to give this thread a try, it is not that easy to work with. You need to tat a little looser and it won't work for needle tatters. Metallic sewing thread is smoother to work with. I do like this thread, I like the thicker look. The lot of thread had both gold and silver spools. I liked the Egyptian Collection so much, I had to make a pendant in silver.
For sale on West Pine Creations.
beautiful! love the silver with turquoise!
ReplyDeleteVery nice what size is this thread?
ReplyDeleteSame thread as the Egyptian Collection. 2 ply crochet thread.
DeleteI will have to check this out I don't recall this at them moment, I am bad with names
ReplyDeleteI am looking to tat a cross in gold metallic thread. You said that this thread was not the best to use for tatting. Have you found a thread that you like other than the sewing metallic thread?
ReplyDeleteThe thread I used for his, the rins don't close well. Three strands of sewing thread should give you a decent size cross. I like the sewing because it is very smooth.
