Tree Tatting

Tree Tatting

The day-after Thanksgiving is the day my family puts up the Christmas decorations.  Here is my little 18" tree, decorated with all tatting....oops...not the tree topped angel.  Need to fix that and tat a 3-D angle.  Most of the decorations are my designs...Tatsmithing, baubles and mini Christmas balls.

.......Speaking of  Christmas balls, I finished writing up my pattern for the small Christmas balls.  Reply on this post and I'll give-away two copies of my newest pattern.  You have until Wed, 4 December to reply.  I'll use the random number generator to draw names.

Hummers

Hummers

I found an old pin with one larger hummingbird and three humming bird charms, dangling from it.  The tatting was done with Lizbeth, size 20, azalea and spring green.  It took me three tries until I was satisfied with it.  Here's my progress....

100 of 100 motif challenge.

Yes, this was completed in time.  I had until October and "scheduled" posted this post.

Bead Tin

Bead Tin

This tin was a Burt's Bees lip balm tin.  These are wonderful little tins for storing seed beads.  Nothing can be plain-jane, so I prettied it up with some polymer clay.  The paint was removed from the bottom of the tin, using a Dremel.
