I found this tassel at Michel's. I restrung it on stretchy cord so I can attach the end to the tine. I added a musical note charm to the tassel.

I made a few more magnetic kalimba charms. They are made from buttons and lightweight jewelry. The charms sit on the bar so it doesn't effect the sound.

Charms
Making a few charms for our kalimbas. Used a pair of wire cutters to remove the posts from the buttons and earrings.
I cut the magnet strip into 1/4" wide strips. For the heavier jewels, I had some round magnets. I cut those in half. These won't work for heavier gems.
Use a Dremel to grind down the posts. The diamond bit (on slow) for plastic and the silicon carbide (on high) for metal.
You can use the diamond bit to spruce up your playing, thumb nail.
Glue the magnets on the make with 6000 glue.
Finished gems...
