     This heart pendent was in a jewelry box, I found at an estate sale.  The large jewelry box was packed full of jewelry and got it next-to-nothing.   
     
     The pendent was done in Lizbeth, size 20, vineyard harvest.  It is 1.5" in diameter.

25 100 Motif Challenge

        I finished my 25 motif challenge, so I'm starting 100 motif challenge.  Tatting 100 original designs, sets, and large items.

     To start it off...here is my latest design:  Crystal Breeze Pendent.  I found the snowflake at a yard sale.  One of the arms were missing, so I took the rest of the arms off and smoothed the ends with a rubber polishing bit (comes in a Dremel set).  The pin assembly was soldered to the end of the arms, so didn't have to do any extra work on it.

     The pendent was tatted in four rounds with pearl cotton #12 and measures 2 1/2" across.  Can't keep them all, but seriously thinking about keeping this one!!

 Necklace:  8 X 17 mm stone w/sterling silver, rhodochrosite and mother-of-pearl beads. The total length is 18". This picture does not do it justice. The white beads are actually off-white. One of my favorite pieces.

 Ring:  5 x 7 mm stones. size 7.

 The pattern is from "The Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito", by Teiko Fujito.

      

 Hanky edging...simple design.

 This bauble is call the "Universal Bauble".  This is one of the pattens in my first book:  Baubles and Motifs, found on my Face Book page.  The bauble is a piece of glass, you find in the craft section.

The smaller baubles are from my new book:  "Baubles and Motifs II".  The larger bauble is a the same pattern, with a larger string and bauble.  The pattern is called "Small Flower Bauble."

     I'm on a roll.  Sprucing up an older pendent.  This one is done in Lizbeth, size 40, Latte Foam.  Variegated from Ecru to vy light, Mocha brown lt to vy light.  The  picture didn't pick up the variegation..ecru to an antique white.  It's approx 1.5" in diameter.

     Fall shows are getting nearer.  Here are some large tatting cases.  The middle pockets can hold 2 shuttles, each.  The middle pockets have a removable, plastic insert to protect the case from wear.  My tatting essentials goes in the middle, bottom pocket.  The extra strings (on cards) goes in the other two front pockets, along with a pattern and my tatting goes in the back pocket.  For sale on West Pine Creations.

     Free-formed tatting with size 30 thread.  This was tatted  around an old earring.   The picture turned out bluer and darker than it actually is. The actual tatted part is lighter and more turquoise color.  The pendent is approx 1 3/8" X 2 1/2".

    I found this pendent at last years craft/antique show.  This was tatted with Lizbeth, size 20, Autumn Spice and Leaf Green Med. The scroll work and flowers, followed the same-type design in the pendent.  The pendent is 3.5" X 3", using the Catherine-Wheel joins.

     I found this pair of earrings in the clearance isle.  The disk is tatted with Lizbeth, size 20, in Autumn Spice.  This is my latest pattern.  I tried to incorporate the scroll work from the disk.  The bronze pendent is approx 1 3/4" in diameter.  
     
     This was a challenge, I finally sat down and tried the Catherine-Wheel Join.  I found this technique on Jane's web page.  This lady has an awesome site for patterns and techniques.  Great graphics and explanations!!!  Well, anyway, I love this type of join!!  It has a very professional look to it!!!

     Diane's Doodad Dare has finally motivated me to gather all of those embellishments, intended for tatting. 

     This embellishment was Grandma's single earring.  I cut the post off and smoothed it down with a rubber polishing point (comes with your Dremel set).  The thread is pearl cotton #12.

 3" diameter X 1" high tin, covered with polymer clay....great for traveling.

Easy curled wire in sterling, gold filled, and copper.  The copper ear wires must be coated, ever-so-often, with colorless fingernail polish.  This prevents tarnish and an allergic reaction to the copper.  The wires slip, easily over a ring or a picot.

This would make an excellent gift for anyone!!!

     Getting ready for the fall craft shows.  I was left with only, two tatting kits, after last years show.  These are great, because they fit nicely in my purse or pocket.

     Small tatting kits: 4" X 3" carrying pouch, 1 - decorated shuttle, 2 - bobbin cards (one full of size 10 thread, and tatting essentials (crochet hook, picot gauge, and pick).

      Large tatting kits (upper left): 5 1/2 " x 3 3/4" pouch, 1 - decorated shuttle, tatting essentials (crochet hook, picot gauge, and pick), 4 bobbins (2 w/size 10 thread).

     The middle sections can hold 2 clover shuttles.  The bottom row is for extra string and my pattern.  The second row is for my tatting essentials and shuttle(s).  The second row has 2 plastic sleeves to protect the fabric.  The back row is for my tatting-in-progress and the thread attached to the tatting.
