Shed
Shed
We finally finished our pole shed. We are big fisherpeople and needed a place to store our boats, out of the snow. Normally, we put tarps over the boats, but there might be times we want to go soft water fishing instead of ice fishing. Be sure to check out our fishing blog to see our latest fishing adventures.

I found a couple of naked shuttles that needed to be dressed up. I used fabric so they would match my tatting cases. Here is the link to decorate shuttles with fabric.

Cameos
Cameos
I love cameos. I found some, colorless, glass cameos at a antique show. They needed some color on the back to emphasize the gold lady. I used finger nail polish to color the back side. I decided to go with silver sewing thread to bring out the gold image. Here they are with the "Basic Design." Now to make the outer rounds.

Lesson
Lesson
I had a special visitor, come, clear from a town, west of Seattle. She was on her way to snowbird in Arizona. We had met, through a tatting exchange, back in 2016. I had given her my Tatsmithing book and a pair of embellishment earrings in the exchange. She wanted to learn these techniques. We met at the Bonners Ferry Farmers market and had a wonderful time. It was a rainy day, so this passed the time quickly. The wonderful lady's name was Phyllis and she had given me a unique cactus spine. She used it to pull out tatting stitches.
I didn't think I would use it, but, a few days later.....this works better than a needle. The spine doesn't fray my threads like a regular sewing needle.

Pies
Pies
Hubby's favorite pie is blackberry-apple. I like to make a larger pie crust, to use the leftover dough for mini pies. Tupperware came out with this cool mini pie press and had to buy it from my dealer (the middle sister). I used my homemade, raspberry jam, to fill the pies.

We do a lot of fishing and other, outdoor activities. I don't like wearing my wedding ring, during these times. But, I feel naked without it. I was doing a little silversmithing and made a plain wedding band, for these times.
