Snow

Snow

It's that time of year, time for the snow to be flying.  I made a bunch of snowflakes to send in Christmas cards.  They were made with three strands of sewing thread (2 strands rayon and one strand metallic).  The pattern is "Snowflake 2009", by Sharon Briggs.

  1. Very pretty! I hope to have time to tat lots of pretty snowflakes this year. I thing they would be wonderful in Christmas cards!

  2. Do you ever have an issue keeping the strands together? I like the idea of creating your own threads for tatting.

  3. Rarely. I carefully, wrap the strands around a large shuttle and tie the ends together to prevent them from separating. I use this shuttle as my working thread and load up a small shuttle for my core thread.
