     A very dear friend, my "Church Mom's", Anniversary was coming up.  I designed this cross bookmark, for their Anniversary.  The cross was made in size 40 thread.

     I had received a few, size 80 threads, from my mom.  This is another favorite pattern by Lene.  Is she still making patterns?

     Size 80 thread goes a long way.  I loaded up two, medium sized shuttles.  Finally on the last little bit.  Enough to finish this cross.  I don't remember where the pattern was from and totally missed the joins in the middle corners.  Still like the way it came out.

     One of our boys, from church is graduating.  What better gift, than a graduation cross.  The pattern is one of my favorites, by Wanda.

     Going through my new colors.  I found a gorgeous, "leafy" green thread in size 80.  The first years of tatting, I used only size 80 thread and made crosses.   Well....back to beginnings!  Speaking of beginnings, the only thing I tatted was crosses.  I would use up a ball of thread and the thread that was left, I would make up baubles.  I had very few patterns, so I had to make them up as I went.  The only book I had was Lene Bjorn's, "Tatted Bookmarks, Crosses".

     This is the "Universal Bauble," from my first book:  "Baubles and Motifs".  The result of left-over thread.

     As you know by now, Hobby Lobby, has been getting rid of most of the tatting supplies in their stores.  My mom bought out all they had, in her store and gave it to me for my birthday.  Thanks Mom!!!!  I love you!!!  The embroidery, she made on her new sewing machine.  Will need to tat an edging on it.
    

This is a picture frame she made.  She went to see relatives, last winter, in Florida.   While she was there, she picked up some shells and used them on this picture frame.  The picture is her on the Florida beach.

     The Spring issue of the "Handy Hands Newsletter", had a wonderful (very simple)  bracelet/necklace set.  I had to make it as soon as I could.  This is the matching choker to go with the bracelet.

     Only one clip earring in a baggie of old jewelry.  The clip was cupped so I allowed my tatting to be, slightly cupped to enhance to form of the clip.
