Almost Lost in Time

Almost Lost in Time

Tatting is not quite a lost art, yet.  Continue to tat in public, to familiarize people with the lovely art of tatting.  Resin Craft had ask people to decorate their time pieces so they can take them to a craft show in California.  They sent the blanks out, we decorated them, and sent them back.   We don't get them back.  I've been following her blog and decided to give it a try.  I never resin casted with fabric and have a lot to learn still.  She makes it look so easy!!  I thought I got all of the bubble and later on,  some appeared!!!  Need more practice.  Here is the piece I sent off.  Check out her blog, lots of cool ideas!

  1. That's weird I was thinking of doing something like that. this is beautiful! Have you tried going over, just above the surface, with small torch to remove bubbles before mixture sets it works for me.

    1. Yes, I tried the torch trick (works wonderful) and all look great!! Walked away to make supper, came back and more bubbles!! Too late to fix, was setting up. Try again next time.

    2. Wow that is weird wonder, I just asked my husband and he said you may have got it too hot with the torch causing a second bubbling . I wondered if it reacted to something else it was laying on, but his thought seems more likely.

    1. No, she doesn't sell them but she tells you how to do this type of things. She sells the bezels on Etsy (looks like she has some premade also):
