What About Dogs?

What About Dogs?

Is there anyone in tatland, who has dogs?  I see mostly cats on everyone's blog.  Don't get me wrong, I love cats but I'm allergic to them and the hubby is not fond of them.

Our baby (90 some pounds soak-and-wet) is a yellow lab named Jake.  He just turned 10.  He's definitely not the brightest light bulb, but he is a lover.  He's afraid of the ice and is a freezy-cat.

Here he is after eating a grilled hot dog.  I had to drag him out on the ice, to go ice fishing.  He's in the security of his sled and sleeping on his favorite pillow.

     Now to the tatting.....

This is one of my earrings (they were too heavy to wear), done in Lizbeth size 20 threads.  It measures 2", not counting the crystal drop.

  1. We don't have dogs or cats. Hubby is too allergic to cats and our oldest daughter Aurora is VERY allergic to cats and dogs and most anything with fur. Poor kiddo. She's 8. Our one and only son, Sebastian is 11 and has a pet guinea pig. He's been part of the family since Sam was 6ish. Caleigh is 6 and Eva is 3, they would all LOVE cats and dogs, but alas, we cannot. :-( I had cats when I met my hubby, but he seems more allergic since then. Thinking maybe he just doesn't want cats because they're not man enough for a man's man. :-)

  4. We don't have any pets, when I moved in with my now husband my dog was not well we thought is was moving that had upset her but several weeks later we found out she had cancer in the liver and I had her put to sleep, I still miss her. I told my husband if any things happens to him he goes out one door and a dog will walk in the other. I always hoped she she live for many years and he would get use to having a dog around but it never happen, he did say a few months ago when we don't go aboard we might have one. I maybe too old then.
Gorgeous earring I agree with Jane how about making it into a pendant.

  6. At the rate you're going you'll have all 100 motifs done in no time! And you seem to be posting every day - plus doing your amazing silver work.

This is a remarkable pendant - very skillful 'wrapping' around the heart and attractive placement of beads. You seem to design all your pieces so easily! It's great that you're recycling old jewelry! And is that a cat I see peeking out!! LOL! Rebecca (Piney Wood Tatter) has a dog! Your dog is SO cute! It's funny because labs LOVE water - but apparently ice is another story!
