Silversmithed: jewelry and tatting shuttles............ Glass blowing: crochet hooks, dinosaurs, ice sickles, pens, earrings, and spoons.......... Tatting: jewelry, motifs, doilies, hankies, books, crosses, and much more.

The treasure box had gotten 1st place in the "original, treasure box" category at the Shuttlebird workshop.

My little treasure box is finished. I designed and tatted this for the Shuttlebird workshop. The theme was pirates.
Top
The top piece is finished. This would make a beautiful barrette. I've diagramed it out. Need to refine it, incase I decide to teach this one. I'll add the middle bead, when I start to sew it to the box.

The top, gem will take a little time to design and tat. Here is the first layer, with "curled" ring. I just, love this little piece.
No Market

Corners
I want to make this box, "gemmy." Here are the corner decorations. I made them with three stands of metallic sewing thread.
Project
I wanted to make a jewelry box for my special jewels. I had a little wooden box that would work for a form.
Extras
Jan, donated, two of her books to each of the dinner tables. Someone, at the table, drew names to see who had gotten one of her books at each table. I was lucky enough to get one of her special, signed books.
Gift Exchange: Most of us brought a gift for the gift exchange. I had gotten an awesome gift from Jan Keizer, from Canada. The little pick is used to pick out tatting.
