I'm still playing with the boxes. Trying to empty shuttles. I have lots of thread on these shuttles, and will make the next box with purple rings and cream chains.
I learned to silversmith, the spring of 2002. That summer, I went out to visit my parents. I brought some tools and silver, to show Dad how to silversmith. He picked out a bloodstone (March's birthstone) and soldered a pendant. We had gotten as far as soldering it, but not the finishing up....grind, sand, polish and setting. Recently, Mom had gone through Dad's stuff and came across the box of silver, I left for him. In it, was the unfinished pendant. I finished getting the silver ready and sat the stone. I strung the pendant on one of my Grandmother's (Dad's Mom) silver chains.
This one was very hard. This is the German Tiger 1 tank. My brain was so fried, I had to dig into the chocolate stash!
This German tank was the most powerful tank in the world when it was
introduced in August 1942. The 88mm gun was extremely powerful and the
heavy armor made it almost impervious to attack. The success of the
Tiger was so profound, that no allied tank dared to engage it in open
combat. This psychological fear soon became to be known as
"Tigerphobia".
Yes, there really was a shipped named the "Black Pearl." This is another Metal Earth model. This one was a challenge.
Black Pearl captained by Henry Morgan, one of the
world’s most notorious pirates. The Black Pearl which first sailed in
1669 fought many battles; the most famous of which was an invasion in
Panama in 1671. The following year Captain Morgan was put in prison in
England. Years later he returned to Jamaica as a judge and governor.
Henry Morgan died in England in 1688 after a long illness.
