Marbled

Marbled

I received two shuttles in an exchange.  This one I dabbed finger nail polishing on the shuttle and swirled it, slightly, with a needle.

  2. Great effect ! Couple of questions :
does the nail enamel not feel sticky ?
Do you apply some kind of varnish afterwards?
I made a shuttle from a plastic bottle. Can we use nail enamel on it? I'm looking for an easy way to decorate.

    1. let the shuttle cure. once it's cure, I'll rub it on my jeans a little to get rid residue tackiness. but let it cure for a week. I add a clear coat on top. I think a plastic bottle will be too pliable, but give it a try. I added a base coat of white, acrylic paint, then 2 coats of decoupage. Once that is dried, drop on the polish and swirl.

  5. Hi, I have no knowledge of these things, and so am asking for clarification. I always thought that the decoupage was added after you put whatever on, to keep it from damage, like a sealer. But are you saying you are putting it on first, and then the nail polish with no sealer on top of that?

    1. The decoupage is there to protect the plastic, your shuttle is made of. You must seal the decoupage to prevent it from coming off. Therefore, you must seal that with some type of acrylic. I use fingernail polish.
